Comments: On 22 November 1777, HM Frigate Aeolus (Captain Christopher Atkins) was anchored in Port Royal Harbor, Jamaica. At 1300 a small schooner came in, captured by Aeolus’s tender, HM Schooner Tender Dolphin. She was from Maryland, and owned there, and had a cargo of salt and dry goods. About this same time Æolus is credited with the capture of the schooner Wild Catt (Dussau), owned in Baltimore, Maryland, with a cargo of dry goods. This is probably the same vessel as the unidentified schooner.
