Comments: HM Sloop Stork (Lieutenant Francis L’Montais) was laying off Cap Français, Sainte-Domingue on the morning of 13 November 1777. At 0700 she saw and chased a sail to the southeast. She soon captured the schooner Adventure, bound from Virginia to Cap Français with flour and staves. Adventure was sent in to Jamaica and condemned there.
