Comments: [unknown] Privateer [unknown] Vengeance was at sea in [May] 1777 when she was captured by HM Sloop Raven. Vengeane was captured 120 miles west of St. Eustatius, Dutch West Indies, with a cargo of rice, tobacco, and indigo. She was escorted to Gibralter, arriving on 22 June 1777. Her battery was listed as ten guns and six swivels.
