Comments: The schooner Lyon (George Hales) was bound from Cape Ann, Massachusetts to Virginia in ballast. On 15 May 1777 she was off Nantucket Shoals, Massachusetts, where she was captured by HM Frigate Ambuscade. Lyon was burned.
