Comments: Schooner Lucy (Thomas Ridley) was owned by Ridley & Co. Lucy was en route from Boston, Massachusetts to Virginia with a cargo of salt. On 28 May 1777 Lucy was off the South Carolina coast where she encountered HM Frigate Daphne (Captain St. John Chinnery) and was captured. Lucy was stripped by the storeship Union, in company with the Daphne, and burned.
