Comments: Brig Fanny (Thomas Tucker; owned by Blake & Co.) was bound from Charleston, South Carolina to Virginia with a cargo of salt. On 22 [29] May 1777 Fanny was fifteen miles north of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina where she was captured by HM Frigate Daphne. She was sent into St. Augustine, East Florida. The prize was adjudged as a recapture by the British.
