Comments: Sloop Three Friends (Peter Guillard) was sighted and chased by HM Sloop Falcon at 1500 on 17 May 1775, off Tarpaulin Cove, Massachusetts. At 1600 Falcon fired three 6-pounders at the sloop, which brought her to. She was found to be from Hispaniola with a cargo of wine and fruit. Three Friends was sent into Boston, Massachusetts in July 1775. The cargo was purchased for the garrison and the vessel was released, but was to bad to proceed.
