Comments: The sloop St. Barbara (Thomas Ross) was bound from Falmouth, Massachusetts [Maine] to St. Lucia, French West Indies with a cargo of lumber. On 1 June 1777 she was captured at sea by HM Frigate Scarborough and sent into Halifax, Nova Scotia.
