Comments: Sloop Revenge (Ebenezer Lewis), owned by Ebenezer Lewis & Co., was en route from Pownalborough, Massachusetts [Maine] to Beverly, Massachusetts with a cargo of wood and bark. On 22 June 1777 Revenge was in the Sheepscut River in Maine, when she was captured by HM Frigate Milford (Captain William Burnaby). She was sent in to Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. According to Howe’s prize list of 28 September 1778, she was captured on 5 June 1777.
