Comments: The 45-ton schooner Elizabeth [Elisabeth] (Joseph Bartlet; owned by Isaac Smith of Boston, Massachusetts) was bound from Boston to Baltimore, Maryland with sugar and rum. She had a five man crew aboard. On 15 June 1777 she was captured by HM Brig Hinchinbrook (Lieutenant Alexander Ellis). Her place of capture is given as off the New Jersey coast, or off Virginia. She was sent into St. Augustine, East Florida.
