Comments: South Carolina Privateer [Ship] Valentine was at sea in July 1777. She captured the schooner Two Brothers, from New Providence bound to New York. On 27 July 1777, some twenty-one miles southeast of Charleston Lighthouse, the Two Brothers was recaptured by HM Frigates Perseus (Captain George Keith Elphinstone), Galatea (Captain Thomas Jordan) and Brune (Captain James Ferguson).
