Comments: The schooner Polly (Samuel Williams; owned by Tybot, Douglas & Co.) was bound from Sinepuxent Bay, Maryland to Saint-Domingue with a cargo of tobacco and staves. On 31 July 1777, off the Virginia coast, Polly was captured by HM Frigate Daphne and sent into St. Augustine, East Florida.
