Comments: The schooner Triton was sailing from the Kennebunk River, bound for the West Indies, with a cargo of lumber, flour and fish. As Triton was transiting Massachusetts Bay she was captured, on 21 July 1776, by HM Frigate Milford. Triton was sent into Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she was tried and condemned.
