Comments: Ship Duncreath [Duntreath] (James Creighton) was captured by Massachusetts Navy Brig Tyrannicide (Captain John Fisk) on 27 November 1776, at 16°47'N, 46°31'W. She was bound from St. Augustine, East Florida to Grenada, British West Indies with a cargo of lumber. Duncreath was recaptured by HM Frigate Brune (Captain James Ferguson), probably off the southern American coast, on 6 January 1777.
