Comments: The 12-ton Sloop Fly (Timothy Toby) was en route from North Carolina to a destination in the West Indies when she was met and captured on 21 February 1778 by HM Schooner Tender Libra (tender to HM Frigate Aurora). The British reported she had a cargo of tobacco, tar and turpentine aboard and a crew of four men. She was owned in North Carolina. The prize was escorted into English Harbor, Antigua, British West Indies, by the Libra, arriving on 28 February 1778.
