Comments: Schooner Ann, with her cargo of turpentine, was captured in the West Indies, by HM Frigate Antelope (Captain William Judd) about August 1777. Ann was owned in North Carolina. The date of capture is arbitrary, and could have been in September. Ann was sent into Jamaica, British West Indies, and tried and condemned there.
