Comments: Schooner Susannah (William Horn) was bound from Virginia to St. Eustatius, Netherlands West Indies, with a cargo of tobacco and flour. She was at sea on, to the southeast of Cape Henry, Virginia, 15 April 1777, when she was sighted, at 0500, by HM Frigate Emerald (Captain Benjamin Caldwell). Emerald ran her down and captured her at 0600. She was brought alongside the Emerald where the prisoners and cargo were removed, and the schooner scuttled.
