Comments: The 30-ton sloop Polly (Thomas Dickinson [Dickenson]) was captured off Montserrat, British West Indies, by HM Sloop Beaver (Commander James Jones) on 1 April 1777. She had no cargo and no papers were found aboard the sloop. Her crew of six men was removed and the prize sent into Antigua, British West Indies. Polly was tried and condemned on 8 May 1777.
