Comments: The schooner Harmony (James Briggs) was bound from Surinam, Netherlands South America [Guyana] to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a cargo of rum and sugar. She was captured by HM Frigate Pearl on 6 April 1777. Other sources indicate the capture was on 11 April. Harmony was sent into New York, New York and had arrived there by 21 April 1777. She was tried and condemned in the Vice-Admiralty court in 1777.
