Comments: Brig Aurora was en route from Guadeloupe, French West Indies to Newburyport, Massachusetts with a cargo of molasses. On 10 April 1777 she fell in with HM Frigate Glasgow (Captain Thomas Pasley), some Six miles west of San Germán, Puerto Rico. She was sighted at 1400 and stopped at 1800. The crew was removed and a petty officer and five men went aboard as a prize crew. Aurora was sent into Jamaica, British West Indies.
