Comments: Massachusetts Privateer Schooner True Blue (Commander William Cole [Coles]) was at sea between September 1776 and, perhaps February 1777. In November 1776 she captured the 70-ton brigantine True Britton (Thomas Babb). True Britton was bound from Newfoundland, probably with a cargo of fish. She may have been captured in European waters. The brigantine was eventually sent into Boston, where she was libeled on 13 February 1777 and tried on 25 February.
