Comments: Connecticut Privateer Schooner Chatham was at sea in June 1778 under Commander David Brooks. She captured the 60-ton schooner Hope (Amos Hillier) on 7 June 1778. She had a cargo of West Indies goods and was captured near Point Judith, Rhode Island. Chatham was sent in to Connecticut and tried and condemned on 14 July 1778.
