Comments: Brig Elizabeth (William Dowling) was captured on 4 July 1777 by Massachusetts Privateer Schooner Warren (Commander Nicholas Ogelby) off Cape Finisterre, Spain. She was bound from Cork, Ireland to Oporto, Portugal with dry goods. The day he captured the Elizabeth, Ogelby ran into Vigo, Spain and landed the masters and ten of the sailors from several prizes. These reported to the British consul at Corunna.
