Comments: Massachusetts Privateer Brigantine Bennington (Commander William Tuck) was at sea in December 1778. She captured the 150-ton snow Jane (John LeCoutuer), which safely got into port. She was libeled on 15 February 1779, with her trial set for 9 March 1779.
