Comments: The brigantine Elizabeth was seemingly sailing off the Spanish coast in December 1778. She encountered the Massachusetts Privateer Brig Vengeance (Commander Wingate Newman) on 3 December and was captured. Elizabeth seems to have been sold in Spain.
