Comments: The 300-ton bark Carlisle (James Blerver) was captured in December 1776 by Massachusetts Privateer Schooner Warren (Commander Henry Thorndike). Carlisle had a cargo of mahogany and logwood aboard. She was brought in to Massachusetts, probably Beverly, and libeled on 9 January 1777 in the Massachusetts Maritime Court of the Middle District. She was tried on 28 January and sold at Beverly on 19 March 1777.
