Comments: Brig Cornet (Corlet) (John Harris), owned by Harris, sailed from Hampton in June 1775 for Scotland, and from Glasgow in ballast, for Norfolk, Virginia in September 1775. She had a few dry goods aboard. She may have been captured in Hampton Roads by Virginia Navy Schooner Liberty (Captain James Barron). The brig was in Hampton on 30 December 1775. The cargo was deemed to be imported in violation of the Association, and was ordered sold by the Virginia Convention on 5 January 1776.
