Comments: Captured as Dunmore’s Fleet got underway from anchorage off Norfolk. Militia found she was anchored within gunshot, ordered her to halt, and brought her to wharf. Before she could be much unloaded, she was burned by the British (17 December). Evidently the burning was less than successful, for the British tried to re-take her again on 18 December.
