Comments: Brig Sally was en route to Swansea in Boston Bay when she put into Falmouth, Massachusetts [Maine]. The Committee of Inspection there believed she was intended for the British Army at Boston and took her into detention. On 11 August 1775 the Committee requested the Massachusetts General Court to give further orders for the brig. On 16 August the Massachusetts House of Representatives ordered the vessel released to proceed on her voyage.
