Comments: Schooner Neptune was a British Army transport used in stock gathering expeditions operating out of Boston. She somehow fell into the hands of the Americans at New York. Her master was interviewed by a committee of the New York Provincial Congress on 21 August 1775 and he was cautioned and released on 23 August.
