Comments: Pennsylvania Privateer Brigs Argo (Commander Peter Ridge) and Fair American (Commander Stephen Decatur) were at sea in April 1780, sailing with Massachusetts Privateer Ship Jack (Commander Nathan Brown). The three captured the sloop Swallow (Stephen Snell). Swallow was sent into New Jersey. Swallow was libeled in the Court of Admiralty on 17 May 1780, with her trial set for 8 June 1780.
