Comments: Pennsylvania Privateer Brigs Argo (Commander Peter Ridge) and Fair American (Commander Stephen Decatur) were at sea in April 1780. They captured the British Privateer Brig Elphinston, armed with twelve 6-pounders, and bound from New York, New York to St. Christopher’s, British West Indies. Elphinston was sent into South Carolina and arrived there on 16 April.
