Rhode Island Privateer [Schooner] Wonder was commissioned on 20 February 1783 under Commander Thomas Forrester. Her owner was listed as Zebulon Story.1
Wonder may have been one of the two “Schooner Gallies” that was in Providence on 24 February, and was to sail to Sandy Hook to intercept shipping.2
Wonder was captured by the British in 1783 and sent in to New York, New York, where she was tried and condemned.3 She may have been one of the two un-named privateers captured off Sandy Hook on 2 April 1783.4
