Massachusetts Privateer Schooner Willing was among those privateers listed as being willing to sail with the Continental frigates at Boston on 19 April 1777. Apparently she was owned by Thomas Davis of Boston. This was the only means by which the Massachusetts Council would lift an embargo it had imposed on privateer sailings. Willing was listed as having eight guns.1
