Massachusetts Privateer Sloop Weasel (Weazle) was commissioned on 24 November 1777 under Commander Benjamin Parmenter of Boston, Massachusetts. She was reported as armed with ten guns and as having a crew of fifty men. Her $5000 Continental and £500 Massachusetts bonds were signed by Parmenter and by Archibald Blair and John Blair, both of Boston.1
