Pennsylvania Privateer Schooner Washington was commissioned on 6 June 1779 under Commander George May of Philadelphia. She was reported with six guns and a crew of twenty men. Washington was bonded for $5,000 by May and Crawford.1
Washington was captured by the British in 1779 and sent into New York, New York. She was tried and condemned there, being listed as an American merchant vessel.2
