Massachusetts Privateer Brigantine Victory was commissioned on 24 April 1780 under Commander Jonathan Nutting of Boston, Massachusetts. She was listed as being armed with ten guns and as having a crew of fifty men. Her $5000 Continental and £4000 Massachusetts bonds were signed by Nutting and by Ebenezer Woodward and Benjamin Jepson, both of Boston.1
