New Hampshire Privateer Schooner Rambler was commissioned on 21 May 1779 under Commander Joshua Moore of Kittery, Massachusetts (Maine). She was listed as being armed with six swivel guns and as having a crew of sixteen men.1
Rambler was again commissioned, on 9 August 1780, under Commander William Maley [Maloy], Jr. She was listed as having two guns and ten swivel guns, and a crew of twenty-five men.2
