New Hampshire Privateer Brigantine Cormorant was commissioned on 14 December 1781 under Commander John Perkins of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She was reported as being armed with six guns and as having a crew of fifteen men. Her $20000 bond was executed by Perkins and by Andrew Wiggin, Jr. and Joshua Chase, both of Portsmouth.1 Abraham Wheelwright served aboard as First Mate.2
The Cormorant made a voyage to the West Indies, but was captured on the way home and was taken into Bermuda.3
