Maryland Privateer Sloop Betsey was commissioned on 16 November 1776 under Commander Robert Dashiell of Baltimore, Maryland. She was listed as having a battery of ten guns and a crew of twenty men. Her $2000 bond was signed by Dashiell and William Hamsley.1 She arrived in [Martinique] prior to 18 April 1777.2
