Massachusetts Privateer Brigantine Becca1 [Rebecca]2 was commissioned on 4 September 1779 under Commander John Willson3 of Boston, Massachusetts.4 She was listed as being armed with eight guns. Her $5000 Continental bond was executed by Willson and by John Shattuck and William Shattuck, both of Boston. The £4000 Massachusetts bond was signed by the same men on 18 September. Becca’s owners were listed as the Shattucks.5
