Massachusetts Privateer Schooner Aurora was commissioned on 2 November 1781 under Commander Rene Chaloche of Boston, Massachusetts. She was listed as being armed with six guns and having a crew of twenty men. Her $20000 bond was executed by Chaloche, and Daniel Dumaine and Bernard Lafitte (both of Boston).1
