Connecticut Privateer Schooner Arnold was at sea in June 1779, under Commander Moses Butler of Hartford, Connecticut. She was in company with Connecticut Privateer Schooner Independence (Commander Gurdon Burnham). On 4 June 1779 the pair captured the 50-ton sloop Sally (Eliakim Jones), with a cargo of plank, wool and coffee. She was sent into Hartford and condemned.1
