Comments:
New Hampshire Privateer Schooner Ann was commissioned in July 1779 under Commander Titus Salter. Ann participated in the ill-fated Penobscot Expedition, where she was captured by HM Frigates Scarborough and Hampden. Salter was later exchanged.1 In the High Court of Admiralty records Ann is mentioned only as an American merchant vessel.2
