Rhode Island Privateer Sloop1 Abigail was commissioned on 2 October 1779 under Commander John Hall2 [Halis].3 Her owner was listed as Nathan Miller4 of Warren, Rhode Island.
Sloop Abigail was at Cap François, Saint-Domingue in mid 1780. She sailed from there about 26 May 1780 with four other American vessels. One of these, Massachusetts Privateer Schooner Dauphin (Commander Thomas Powars) parted at 35°N,30°W on 31 May.5
